An employee focused on Medical Chart Review at Advancing Sight Network is an integral part of our work to restore sight. This employee is responsible for conducting medical chart reviews of potentially transplantable donors, as well as performing quality assurance functions while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in answering donor eligibility questions according to ASN’s standard operating procedures (SOPs), and EBAA and FDA guidelines.
- Determine donor eligibility.
- Coordinate donor eligibility follow-up.
- Discuss needed chart follow-up with colleagues working on Medical Chart Review.
- Coordinate and follow up on the donor risk assessment interview questionnaire, autopsy reports, and medical records.
- Remain current with donor eligibility requirements as outlined in Advancing Sight Network’s SOPs, and with EBAA and FDA guidelines.
- Perform donor file status reviews to ensure all pertinent information has been included.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional with these qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to interact with peers and hospital personnel on assignments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task.
